Amazing advances in technology are presented here, such as the use of Emotional Freedom Techniques for healing covering the mind, body and spirit.  Where nothing else has worked, in many cases EFT has alleviated the pain of emotional and physical suffering of countless people.  The Emotional Freedom Technique centers around the profound effects of the body’s subtle energies using the theory that “The cause of all negative emotions are a disruption in the body’s energy system.”  This, in turn, can case physical manifestations. EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except there is no use of needles.  The mode is a tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is “tuned in” to the problem. We offer books and seminars to learn this process yourself, one on one instruction or treatment.

EFT is only one of the many advanced holistic practices offered at Mardi Gras Psychics.  Open your mind to the power it holds as you Journey to the Wild Divine.  The first inner-active computer game to combine ancient breathing and meditation exercises with modern biofeedback technology for total mind-body wellness. “The journey to help you get in touch with the inner most core of your being,” says Deepak Chopra. Auras

Filed under :Divining Energy, Empathic, Mardi Gras Psychics, Readings

An aura, according to New Age metaphysics, is a colored outline, or set of contiguous outlines, allegedly emanating from the surface of an object. Auras are not to be confused with the aureoles or halos of saints, which are devices of Christian iconography used to depict the radiance of light associated with divine infusion. In the New Age, even the lowly amoeba has an aura, as does the mosquito and every lump of goat dung. The aura supposedly reflects a supernatural energy field or life force that permeates all things. Human auras allegedly emerge from the chakras. Under ordinary circumstances, auras are only visible to certain people with special psychic power. However, with a little bit of training, or with a special set of Aura Goggles with “pinacyanole bromide” filters (available at your local New Age Head Shop), anyone can see auras.

On the other hand, you may also see auras if you have a migraine, a certain form of epilepsy, a visual system disorder or a brain disorder. These auras, however, are somewhat different from the kind encouraged by most aura training exercises. These involve staring at an object placed against a white background in a dimly lit room. What one sees is due to retinal fatigue and other natural perceptual processes, not the unleashing of hidden psychic powers. Something similar happens when you stare at certain colored or black and white patterns. Vision is not the verbatim recording of the outside world. When looking at a colored object, for example, the eye does not transmit to the brain a continuous series of duplicate impressions. The brain itself supplies much of the visual perception. In short, even if auras are perceived, that is not good evidence that there is an energy field in the physical or supernatural world corresponding to the perceptions.

Some psychics claim that the specific colors in auras have specific meanings. The human aura is both an energy field and a reflection of the subtle life energies within the body. These energies make us what we are and in turn, are affected by our surroundings and life style. The aura reflects our health, character, mental activity and emotional state. It also shows disease – often long before the onset of symptoms.

The notion that auras reflect health is a common one among true believers. The problem is, what color reflects what condition? There is no consensus on what the colors mean, which makes it difficult if not impossible to devise an empirical test to determine whether there is any correlation between specific colors and specific diseases. In other words, reading auras is something like reading Rorschach tests with the added difficulty of each psychic potentially seeing a different pattern.

For every other object of color we have scientific devices which can measure any energy emitted from the object, as well as the wavelengths of light reflected from the object. Even though equipment exists capable of measuring extremely minute energy levels, no one has ever detected an aura or the alleged energy that gives rise to an aura using scientific equipment. Human tissue is about a million times less sensitive than something like a PET scanner, yet we are supposed to believe that some special people can “see” what cannot otherwise be detected. Or, we are supposed to believe that we all have the power to see auras but somehow we have repressed or never trained our psychic selves to unleash the power within.

Meaning of Different Aura Colors:

Purple: indicates spiritual thoughts. Purple is never a strong point in the Aura. It appears only as temporary “clouds” and “flames”, indicating truly spiritual thoughts.

Blue: Balanced existence, sustaining life, eased nerve system, transmitting forces and energy. People with blue strong point in their Aura are relaxed, balanced and feel ready to live in a cave and survive. They are born survivors. Blue thought is a thought about relaxing the nerve system to achieve the balance of the mind or a thought about surviving. Electric blue can override any other color in the Aura, when the person is receiving and/or transmitting information in a telepathic communication. For example Michel Desmarquet, author of “Thiaoouba Prophecy”, frequently glows with the electric blue during his lectures, especially when he answers questions from the public.

Turquoise: indicates dynamic quality of being, highly energized personality, capable of projection, influencing other people. People with turquoise strong point in their Aura can do many things simultaneously and are good organizers. They feel bored when forced to concentrate on one thing. People love bosses with turquoise Auras, because such bosses explain their goals and influence their team rather than demand executing their commands. Turquoise thought is a thought about organizing and influencing others.

Green: restful, modifying energy, natural healing ability. All natural healers should have it. People with a green strong point in their Auras are natural healers. The stronger the green Aura, the better the healer. They also love gardening and usually have a “green hand” – anything grows for them. Being in a presence of a person with a strong and green Aura is a very peaceful and restful experience. Green thought indicates a restful state and healing.

Yellow: joy, freedom, non-attachment, freeing or releasing vital forces. People who glow yellow are full of inner joy, very generous and not attached to anything. Yellow halo around the head: high spiritual development. A signature of a spiritual teacher. Do not accept spiritual teachings from anyone who does not have such a yellow halo. Buddha and Christ had yellow halos extending to their arms. Today it is rare on Earth to find a person with a halo larger than 1 inch. Yellow halo appears as a result of a highly active brow chakra (which can be seen glowing with violet by many people at my workshops). Highly spiritual people stimulate the brow chakra continuously for many years, because they always have intensive spiritual thoughts in their minds. When this chakra is observed when highly active, a yellow (Auric pair) halo appears around it, surrounding the entire head. Yellow thought indicates a moment of joy and contentment.

Orange: uplifting and absorbing. Inspiring. A sign of power. Ability and/or desire to control people. When orange becomes a strong point, it usually contributes to a yellow halo, which then becomes gold, indicating not only a spiritual teacher, but a powerful spiritual teacher, someone capable of demonstrating his/her unique abilities. Orange thought is a thought about exercising power or a desire to control people.

Red: materialistic thoughts, thoughts about the physical body. Predominantly red Aura indicates materialistically oriented person.

Pink (=purple+red): love (in a spiritual sense). To obtain a clean pink, you need to mix the purple (the highest frequency we perceive) with red (the lowest frequency). Pink Aura indicates that the person achieved a perfect balance between spiritual awareness and the material existence. The most advanced people have not only a yellow halo around the head (a permanent strong point in the Aura) but also a large pink Aura extending further away. The pink color in the Aura is quite rare on Earth and appears only as a temporary thought, never as a strong point in the Aura.

Meaning of Dirty colors:

(colors appearing darker than background more like a smoke than a glow)

Brown: unsettling, distracting, materialistic, negating spirituality.

Gray: dark thoughts, depressing thoughts, unclear intentions, presence of a dark side of personality.

Sulfur (color of a mustard): pain or lack of ease, anger

White: serious disease, artificial stimulation (drugs). Why does the white color in the Aura indicate problems? White color is like a noise, rather than a set of harmonious tones (monochromatic colors). It is impossible to “tune” the noise to an orchestra playing harmonious music, hence the white Aura indicates a lack of harmony in the body and mind. Nature, which we are a part of, is harmonious. This harmony comes in discrete vibration “tones” or harmonics, partially described by the modern quantum physics.

Several hours before the death, the Aura becomes white, and greatly increases in intensity. For this reason in most cultures “death” is depicted in WHITE (not black), because in the past, people could actually see a white Aura before death. It seems that our ancestors knew much more than we are prepared to admit.

The Awakening

Copyright © 1999 Sonny Carroll

There comes a time in your life when you finally get it… When in the midst of all your fears and insanity you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out- ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying or struggling to hold on. And, like a child quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and through a mantle of wet lashes you begin to look at the world from a new perspective. This is your awakening.

You realize that it is time to stop hoping and waiting for something, or someone, to change or for happiness, safety and security to come galloping over the next horizon. You come to terms with the fact that there aren’t always fairytale endings (or beginnings for that matter) and that any guarantee of “happily ever after ” must begin with you. Then a sense of serenity is born of acceptance.

So you begin making your way through the “reality of today” rather than holding out for the “promise of tomorrow.” You realize that much of who you are, and the way you navigate through life is, in great part, a result of all the social conditioning you’ve received over the course of a lifetime. And you begin to sift through all the nonsense you were taught about:

  • how you should look and how much you should weigh
  • what you should wear and where you should shop
  • where you should live or what type of car you should drive
  • who you should sleep with and how you should behave
  • who you should marry and why you should stay
  • the importance of having children or what you owe your family
  • Slowly you begin to open up to new worlds and different points of view. And you begin reassessing and redefining who you are and what you really believe in. And you begin to discard the doctrines you have outgrown, or should never have practiced to begin with.

You accept the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone will love, appreciate or approve of who or what you are… and that’s OK… they are entitled to their own views and opinions. And, you come to terms with the fact that you will never be a size 5 or a “perfect 10″ Or a perfect human being for that matter. So you stop trying to compete with the image inside your head or agonizing over how you compare. And you take a long look at yourself in the mirror and you make a promise to give yourself the same unconditional love and support you give so freely to others. Then a sense of confidence is born of self-approval.

And, you stop maneuvering through life merely as a “consumer” hungry for your next fix, a new dress, another pair of shoes or looks of approval and admiration from family, friends or even strangers who pass by. Then you discover that it is truly in giving that we receive and that the joy and abundance you seek grows out of the giving. And you recognize the importance of “creating” & “contributing” rather than “obtaining ” & “accumulating.”

And you give thanks for the simple things you’ve been blessed with; things that millions of people upon the face of the earth can only dream about a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed and the freedom to pursue your own dreams.

And then you begin to love and to care for yourself. You stop engaging in self-destructive behaviors including participating in dysfunctional relationships. You begin eating a balanced diet, drinking more water and exercising. And because you’ve learned that fatigue drains the spirit and creates doubt and fear, you give yourself permission to rest. And just as food is fuel for the body, laughter is fuel for the spirit and so you make it a point to create time for play.

Then you learn about love and relationships, how to love, how much to give in love, when to stop giving and when to walk away. And you allow only the hands of a lover who truly loves and respects you to glorify you with his touch. You learn that people don’t always say what they mean or mean what they say, intentionally or unintentionally and that not everyone will always come through and interestingly enough, it’s not always about you. So, you stop lashing out and pointing fingers or looking to place blame for the things that were done to you or weren’t done for you. And you learn to keep your Ego in check and to acknowledge and redirect the destructive emotions it spawns; anger, jealousy and resentment.

You learn how to say I was wrong and to forgive people for their own human frailties. You learn to build bridges instead of walls and about the healing power of love as it is expressed through a kind word, a warm smile or a friendly gesture. And, at the same time, you eliminate any relationships that are hurtful or fail to uplift and edify you. You stop working so hard at smoothing things over and setting your needs aside. You learn that feelings of entitlement are perfectly OK and that it is your right to want or expect certain things. And you learn the importance of communicating your needs with confidence and grace. You learn that the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that eventually martyrs are burned at the stake. Then you learn to distinguish between guilt, and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say NO. You learn that you don’t know all the answers, it’s not your job to save the world and that sometimes you just need to Let Go.

Moreover, you learn to look at people as they really are and not as you would want them to be, and you are careful not to project your neediness or insecurities onto a relationship. You learn that you will not be, more beautiful, more intelligent, more lovable or important because of the man on your arm or the child that bears your name. You learn that just as people grow and change, so it is with love and relationships and that that not everyone can always love you the way you would want them to. So you stop appraising your worth by the measure of love you are given. And suddenly you realize that it’s wrong to demand that someone live their life or sacrifice their dreams just to serve your needs, ease your insecurities, or meet “your ” standards and expectations. You learn that the only love worth giving and receiving is the love that is given freely without conditions or limitations. And you learn what it means to love. So you stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes. You learn that “alone” does not mean “lonely” and you begin to discover the joy of spending time “with yourself” and “on yourself.” Then you discover the greatest and most fulfilling love you will ever know. Self Love. And so, it comes to pass that through understanding your heart heals; and now all new things are possible.

Moving along, you begin to avoid Toxic people and conversations. And you stop wasting time and energy rehashing your situation with family and friends. You learn that talk doesn’t change things and that unrequited wishes can only serve to keep you trapped in the past. So, you stop lamenting over what could or should have been and you make a decision to leave the past behind. Then you begin to invest your time and energy to affect positive change. You take a personal inventory of all your strengths and weaknesses and the areas you need to improve in order to move ahead. You set your goals and map out a plan of action to see things through.

You learn that life isn’t always fair and you don’t always get what you think you deserve and you stop personalizing every loss or disappointment. You learn to accept that sometimes bad things happen to good people and that these things are not an act of God… but merely a random act of fate.

And you stop looking for guarantees because you’ve learned that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected and that whatever happens, you’ll learn to deal with it. And you learn that the only thing you must truly fear is the great robber baron of all time FEAR itself. So you learn to step right into and through your fears because to give into fear is to give away the right to live life on your terms. You learn that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophesy and you learn to go after what you want and not to squander your life living under a cloud of indecision or feelings of impending doom.

Then, YOU LEARN ABOUT MONEY… the personal power and independence it brings and the options it creates. And you recognize the necessity to create your own personal wealth. Slowly, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never ever settle for less than your heart’s desire. Then a sense of power is born of self-reliance. And you live with honor and integrity because you know that these principles are not the outdated ideals of a by-gone era but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build your life. And you make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting and to stay open to every wonderful opportunity and exciting possibility. Then you hang a wind chime outside your window to remind yourself what beauty there is in Simplicity.

Finally, with courage in your heart and with God by your side you take a stand, you FAKE a deep breath and you begin to design the life you want to live as best as you can

A word about the Power of Prayer: In some of my darkest, most painful and frightening hours, I have prayed not for the answers to my prayers or for material things but for my “God” to help me find the strength, confidence and courage to persevere; to face each day and to do what I must do.

Remember this: “You are an _expression of the almighty. The spirit of God resides within you and moves through you. Open your heart, speak to that spirit and it will heal and empower you.” My “God” has never failed me.

    Meet Your Spirit Guides

Filed under :Mardi Gras Psychics, Meditation
This particular meditation helps us to relax and focus on being introduced to our own personal spirit guides. Once we have connected with them on a very personal level, we are able to call upon them more easily during our readings. I suggest that you tape this meditation so that you can play it when you are ready.

Allow your body to gently relax. Move yourself around on your chair until you feel perfectly comfortable. Now, I want you to move your attention DOWN from your head to your chin and DOWN from your chin to your throat and DOWN from your throat to your chest. DOWN, DOWN to your stomach.

Now move down into that safe place deep within yourself, that place which is just below your navel. This is your sacred sanctuary, a place that only you know about.

From that place, I want you to move into the hallway in your mind. Along the hallway are many doors. One particular door is of golden light. You feel drawn by that door and you move through the door of light into a place of peace, comfort and protection.

Once through the door, you find yourself on a path through the woods. As you move along the path, you faintly hear the sound of water. Birds sing in the trees. The sunlight filters through the canopy of deep, green trees overhead. A warm, gentle breeze caresses your face and blows lightly through your hair. You feel as if you are being kissed by God. The smell of the forest and of wild flowers surrounds you, bathing you in an essence so sweet and so wild that your senses are reeling.

You come to a body of water. Because it is part of the enchanted forest, this water is pure, clean and clear. It is cool and inviting. You sit on the edge of the bank and dip your cup into the sacred water and you drink. You are comforted and refreshed.

You arise and continue moving on your path through these wondrous woods. Soon you come to a clearing in the trees. The clearing is surrounded by stately oaks, their branches extended to protect you. The color of the wild flowers stands out strong against the greens of the grasses and the brown-black of the tree barks. You breathe deeply of the sweet air. You know this place… you’ve been here before. Maybe in your dreams or maybe in life – it doesn’t matter. You just know that it is your haven.

There is wonderful, soft green grass growing here and it invites you to sit down and rest. Now you begin to hear in the distance other-worldly music, Tibetan bells… flute music… soft chanting… You listen carefully, as you feel drawn to the music.

You look up and see purple mountains in the distance. As you look, a tiny golden Light appears. It draws closer and closer to you. It floats gently up the path toward your little sanctuary. Its light is soft and gentle. Yet it shines with a brilliance you have never seen.

As it reaches the outer edge of your sanctuary, it stops and becomes a large pulsating crystalline light. You watch. You wait. You give the light permission to enter your space.

The light draws forward and hovers just before you. The Light shimmers. Soft strands of gold stream forth like a flower blossoming. As each petal of this light unfolds, you see that something or someone is inside.

Then you see before you a wondrous being that you recognize as your spirit guide. You know it is your spirit guide because you feel a strong surging of love pouring out from it to you and you feel, deep in your heart, a strong answering outpouring of love from you to it. You feel completely safe with this being. It may or may not tell you its name, but it calls you by your name.

Spirit Guides will take any form that you need to understand right now. It can be in the form of a human, an animal, an object or some divine form. See it! imagine it! Know it is real!

What form is your spirit guide in? What shape is it? If it is human, is it male or female? What does it smell like? What color is it? What does it feel like?

Begin to carry on a conversation with this wondrous being. Ask its name. What is its purpose? Why has it come to you?

Let this being communicate itself to you and tell you why it is working with you. Ask it for its help and guidance. Ask your guide what you need to know about your life at this time. Tell your guide anything that is disturbing to you at this time. Ask it how best to call upon it in the future.

Ask it to let you know it is there, consciously, within the next few days, whenever you need help. When you feel finished, thank your guide for the opportunity to meet and work with it.

As the golden light folds back up around your guide, send it off with your best thoughts and love. As it withdraws from your space, moving back up the path, you sit back down in your spot. You understand that in this inner sanctuary you invite any and all of your guides into your awareness.

This is exciting and you are fascinated with your experience, your experience of expanding your horizons. You breathe deeply, relaxing and reliving in your mind, what has happened. BREATHE.

As you do so, the path and the woods begin to fade and you find yourself gently coming back to the present… to this room, this time and this place. When you are ready, be sure to drink some water and maybe eat a slice of bread to ground yourself.

Right now, it would be helpful to you if you wrote down all you have experienced, exactly as it happened.

    Bless you.

    Spiritual Healing

Filed under :Divining Energy, Empathic, Lark Eden, Mambo Eve, Rosa Pearl, unknown author

Spirituality involves the recognition and acceptance of a God beyond our own intelligence and with whom we can have a relationship. This God can provide an experience of inspiration, joy, security, peace of mind, and guidance that goes beyond what is possible in the absence of the conviction that such a power exists.

Spiritual healing is when energy is transmitted to the person who needs it. The treatment works on the body, mind and spirit, which are seen as one unit that must harmonize for good health. If a separate healer is involved, the healer will place the hand on the person being treated to channel the energy from the Higher Source. The spiritual healing can help mental and emotional problems and physical conditions such as a frozen shoulder.

    What is spiritual healing?
The channeling of healing energy from its spiritual source to someone who needs it is called spiritual healing. The channel is usually a person, whom we call a healer, and the healing energy is usually transferred to the patient through the healer’s hands. The healing does not come from the healer, but through him. On the other hand, you don’t need a healer to take advantage of spiritual healing. You can pray.

The word “spiritual” refers to the divine nature of the energy, which healers agree comes from one external, invisible intelligent source. The healing energy from this source is available to all.

Healers see the body mind and spirit as one interdependent unit and believe all three must work in harmony to maintain positive health. Any problem – be it a broken leg or depression needs the power of healing to restore the balance of the whole person. It is felt that sickness often starts in the mind, or at the deeper level of the spirit, and it is often here that healing begins.

New Age and The Dawning of a New Era

New Age is a loose term that includes everything from self improvement programs to awareness of mind-body connections. The movement is growing by leaps and bounds.

Time magazine reported that in 1996, about 44 million Americans identified with the healing movement. It is estimated that Americans alone spend about $1.5 billion annually on books about spirituality and religion. About 42 percent of Americans have sought out alternative health care. So, there is no doubt that the movement is catching on.

“There is a hunger for being connected with a divine force. The hunger is not just for philosophy, but for experience,” says James Redfield, author of ‘Celestial Prophecy’.

“The consciousness I am describing – the perception of synchronistic, mysterious coincidences – represent great opportunities to grow. That process works whether you are a brain surgeon or sacking groceries. Consciousness has the ability to break cycles of poverty.”

Specific Benefits of Developing Your Spirituality

Edmund Bourne, author of ‘The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook,’ has described a number of benefits to spirituality as it applies to healing emotional problems. Dr. Burke has personal experience of his patients benefiting from a deep spirituality. He has listed a number of benefits that are gained through spirituality. These are:

    Security and Safety

Through developing a connection with God, you gain security through the conviction that you are not all alone in the universe, even at those times when you feel temporarily separated from other people. You feel increasingly safe as you come to believe that there is a source you can always turn to in times of difficulty. As the twenty third psalm says, “The Lord is my Shepherd,” he will take care of me and won’t let me get into trouble if I trust him. There is much security to be gained through the understanding that there is no problem or difficulty that cannot be resolved through the help of God.

    Peace of Mind

Peace of mind is the result of feeling a deep, abiding sense of security and safety. The more reliance and trust you develop in God, the easier it becomes to deal without fear or worry with the inevitable challenges life brings. It is not that you give up your self or your will to such a power; rather you simply learn that you can “let go” and turn to God when you feel stuck with a problem in living and don’t know how to proceed. Learning how to let go when solutions to problems aren’t immediately apparent can go a long way toward reducing worry and anxiety in your life. Peace of mind is what develops in the absence of such anxiety.

    Self-Confidence

As you develop a relationship with God, you come to realize that he has created you and hence he has found something good in you. You are part of the universe. You’re good, lovable, and worthy of respect just by virtue of the fact that you’re God’s creation. This realization can improve the way you look at yourself and will help you to improve your ego and what you think of yourself. You are still inherently good and worthwhile. Your own judgments of yourself, however negative, do not ultimately count if you are a creation of the universe as much as everything else. As one person put it: “God doesn’t make junk.”

The Capacity To Give and Receive Unconditional Love

The most fundamental characteristic of God is that it offers you an experience of unconditional love. This is a kind of love which differs from romantic love or even ordinary friendship. It entails an absolute caring for the welfare of another without any preconditions. That is, no matter how another person appears or acts, you have compassion and care for them without judgment. As you develop a deeper connection with God, you come to experience greater degrees of unconditional love in your life. You feel your heart opening more easily to people and their concerns. You feel freer of judgment toward them or of making comparisons among them. Unconditional love shows up both in your increased capacity to give love to others and to experience more of it coming into your life. You begin to experience less fear and more joy in your life and help to inspire others to experience their own capacity for unconditional love. This kind of love also manifests itself through the experience of having everything you need in your life to get on with what you want to do.

    Guidance

Developing a relationship with God will provide you with guidance for making decisions and solving problems. God has a universal wisdom that goes beyond what you can accomplish through your own intellect. In traditional religions this has been referred to as the “divine intelligence.” Through connecting with God, you can draw upon this greater wisdom to help you resolve all kinds of difficulties. By learning to ask God for guidance, you’ll be surprised to find that every sincere request sooner or later is answered. And the quality of that answer generally exceeds what you could have figured out through your own conscious intellect or will. Here, God is like your co-pilot. God is always available in the instant of need to those who have made a habit of waiting quietly before Him for insight and guidance.

Follow these guidelines for an effective relationship with God:
Be quiet, patient, and open before God
Be confident that he will communicate his wishes and help you execute them.
Do not tempt God or make terms with Him. Gandhi said, “Not until we have reduced ourselves to nothingness, can we conquer the evil in us. God demands nothing less than complete self-surrender as the price for the only real freedom that is worth having. And when a man thus loses himself, he immediately finds himself in the service of all that lives. It becomes his delight and his recreation.”
Be willing to accept what God provides. He knows best. “Thy will, not mine, be done.” Have full trust in the wisdom of God.
Ask for God’s help. Do not instruct him on what to do.
Let God speak to you through his Word. Read spiritual and religious books such as the Bible and learn about the rules of victorious living.

These are some of the characteristics that define a close relationship with God. All of them can significantly contribute to your personal healing process. The extent and sincerity of your commitment will determine the degree of personal healing you experience.

Outside Help: Healing Practitioners, Intercessory Prayers, etc.

    Healers:

Healers believe that everyone has a healing mechanism that flows as an energy force around the body, mind and spirit to keep them in perfect order. Unfortunately, stress, an inadequate diet, a negative attitude and other adverse factors can block our healing mechanism so that it cannot function correctly and we get ill. Spiritual healing provides the energy needed to crank our own healing mechanism back into action. When a healer lays his hand on you, he acts as a conductor or channel for the healing energy which he believes has the “intelligence” to go where it is needed.

Healers say that all of us have the power to heal, if we choose to develop it. However, some do seem to have a healing gift.

Healing does not always work at a physical level; the illness may remain but the ability to cope with it improves. Sometimes it does not work at all. This may be because the sick person “blocks” the healing forces – some people subconsciously prefer to be ill. It may also be because we “need” to remain ill.

Healing is not just about living well, but also dying well. People healed when they are dying may die more peacefully.

Typically, to begin the treatment the healer will attune with the healing energy. Then he may scan your body, with his hands hovering just above you. This scanning is to take a reading of your body’s energy levels and to locate areas of low or blocked energy where healing is needed. How long the healer spends on each area is determined by your body’s needs. Generally, the session lasts about an hour. All healers work in this way, but some employ additional healing tools such as visualization, past lives therapy, aura healing or they may concentrate on using the “chakras” the seven main energy centers of the body.

During the treatment you may feel heat coming from the healer’s hands, although some people feel a draught, a tingling sensation, pins and needles, or a feeling of fight-headedness. Afterwards, most people say they feel relaxed and peaceful, although you might feel thirsty or sleepy. Leave a few days or a week between sessions to give the healing time to work.

    Intercessory Prayers:

Many Christians ask saints and others to intercede on their behalf. People pray for others. Your chance of healing can be improved substantially if you can get others to pray for you. The scientific evidence for the efficacy of such prayers is described elsewhere.

Which problems can Spiritual Healing help?

Spiritual healing can help with any problem, mental, physical or emotional. Healers are especially effective for muscular-skeletal problems. Such as frozen shoulders, stiff necks and bad knees.

    Meditation

Filed under :Mardi Gras Psychics, Meditation, unknown author

What is meditation? Meditation is more than a state of doing; it is a state of being. It is something that happens to us when we are living in the present moment. Not thinking of the past, or of the future, but being here now. Being fully present to the moment in which we are living and which surrounds us.

What does living fully in the present moment mean, it is living from our wholeness, not from our rational mind. How to live in this state you might ask. Actually it is something that is part of who we are naturally. It is our natural state of being, part of our God/Goddess, Buddha nature. For most of us, especially in the Western world we have moved away from this place within ourselves; our inner state of being, essence, or consciousness as it is known; the part of us who we are when we put the mind aside.

The mind is a great philosopher, and life is not a philosophy, life is a reality. Philosophy is an escape from reality; philosophy means thinking. Life is – there is no question of thought. You can simply jump into it. Like that of a small child; have you ever watch a small child, they are so innocent and pure, enjoying with totality the present moment. You may ask why do we as individuals want to go there, to this state of living in the present moment. When we are living in the present moment, there is a natural connection to our center within us in which we live from. Our wholeness of who we are—a spiritual being within our physical body. In this connection to our wholeness we can experience tranquility, peace, a sense of knowing who we are and where we are going; and our connection with God or Source. So we ask ourselves how to get back to this center within us. One of the ways is learning meditation techniques, on how to come back to this state naturally.

As we are born into this life, we are connected to our natural God/Goddess, Buddha nature, but slowly over time we start to be influenced away from this natural way of being and into what is known as our ego state, which is the mind. We start to become divided, or separate from our wholeness. This separation causes us to be in suffering, if even on a very subtle level, a sense that something is missing. Even though we may not be in touch with or have an understanding of what it is we are missing. Nevertheless, we are feeling a longing or desiring to come back home to our connection with self and that of God or Source.

Meditation techniques or what is know as meditation can help us to get to this place. Anything can be used as a technique; the key is, are we totally present in the moment to what it is we are doing. Whether we are using a breathing technique, dancing, running, singing, painting, sitting silently watching our thoughts or breath, the key is to be absolutely total, present with the action, where the action and we have become one. Where we have moved out of the mind center; thinking, out of past or future, and are living in presence, here, and now.

Due to our busy lifestyles, you may find it easier to start with an active mediation, rather than a passive, quieter meditation like sitting, watching the breath and thoughts. Because of the busy nature of our mind, and not finding it easy to relax, it is almost impossible to be silent. Even while trying to sit, the mind and energy inside our body is rushing. So in the beginning I recommend something with movement, unless you are a person who finds it easy to sit. Doing active meditations in the beginning while you are learning will prevent you from becoming discouraged, feeling meditation is impossible and not for you.

With an active meditation, it is always good at the end, to take ten or fifteen minutes to sit silently resting inside, not moving, just observing from the deeper part of yourself, what is happening in the interior of your being. Feeling and being aware of the peace and tranquility; watching the breath, or your thoughts passing by moving as part of your mind stream. Connecting to your deeper core of self.

Another great way to meditate is being out in nature, simply connecting with the trees, the sky, the earth, the ocean, etc. When you can be in tune with your senses, hearing, smelling, feeling, observing without any thought, you are close to God, close to your center.

Joining a meditation group will also be of support and can be fun. Meditation is a non-serious event. We make our life serious enough, have fun with meditation, enjoy, laugh, dance, sing with it, or sit silently enjoying that too. If you are serious, know – you are back in the mind. There is a difference between being serious with mediation techniques, and being disciplined and sincere. Any tensions, strain or judgments on yourself, prevents results that could be happening.

The best way to start with mediation is to read some books, join a group, or buy tapes and CD’s. The main thing is choosing something that resonates with you; that you have a good feeling about. Remember there are all kinds of meditations for all kinds of people.

    American Psychics Reviewed

America was founded on the idea of freedom of religious and spiritual expressions. The psychic realm is a part of the religious and spiritual world, and so, our psychic history is intertwined with our religious and spiritual history. Our American psychic freedom was founded right along with our religious and spiritual freedoms.

On the 31st March, 1848, The Fox Sisters, two young girls, made a break through with contacting the entity who had been disturbing the family with strange sounds and activities. They heard spirit rapping’s inside the walls of their home. They began communicating with the dead. The Hydesville Knockings in the United States of America lead to the investigation of the Mediumship of the Fox sisters and the birth of modern Spiritualism. These two psychic readers became well known all over America. When his son had died in 1852, President Pearce invited the Fox Sisters-psychic readers, to the White House to hold a private séance. Séances were held in the White House on a regular basis.

President Lincoln’s son William died at the age of 11. His wife Mary Todd hired a medium – Nedy Colburn – psychic reader, who led several séances in the white house. One day President Lincoln was looking in the mirror and he say two faces looking back at him, one face was clear and the other was shattered. Mary Todd said this meant his first term would go well but in his second term something bad would happen.

President Lincoln also had a dream. In his dream he heard weeping going on so he follows the sounds into a room where he sees several men around a coffin. He asks a solider by the coffin who it is that has died. The soldier answers it is the president who was kill by an assassin. Soon after, Lincoln’s dream became a reality, when on April 14th, 1865 John Wilkes Booth murdered the president at the Ford Theater.

General Grant’s wife also had a premonition that something bad was going to happen to her husband at the theater that night. She warned her husband not to go with the Lincoln’s and he decided not to go. It was later discovered that General Grant’s name was also on the list of names John Wilkes booth was planning to assassinate. After President Lincoln’s death there were many reports of his spirit moving around the White House.

James Martin Peebles (1822 – 1922) known as ‘the spiritual pilgrim’ as he enthusiastically spread his philosophy through his writings and travels around the United States and the world. Himself a medium/psychic reader was surrounded by what he called his ‘band of angels’ from whom he received inspiration and spiritual guidance.

Mark Twain had a vivid dream in 1858 in which he saw his brother’s death. He saw his brother in a metal casket with flowers on his chest; the casket was sitting atop two chairs. His brother had worked on the steamship Pennsylvania. Two days after the dream the Pennsylvania exploded and his brother died, 150 people were killed. All the others who had died had pine coffins but his brother had a metal casket purchased by two unknown women. When Mark Twain went to see his brother and walked into the room where the casket was laying, it was sitting atop two chairs. As he was standing there a woman came in and place the same flowers in the casket Mark had seen in the dream, white flowers with a single red rose. Everything in his dream had come true. Twain also publicly announced to the world the coming of his own death. He said “I came into the world with Haley’s comet in 1835, and now it is coming again next year and I will go out with it”. April 20th 1910, he died the next day.

Towards end of 19th century, 1885 Harvard Psychologist – William James started the American Society of Psychic Research.

In the 1850’s, the greatest known psychic medium in the world is Daniel Douglas Hume from Connecticut. As a psychic reader he did séances for the rich and famous.

Edgar Cayce, a psychic reader has become one of the most helpful psychics the world has even known. He did his first psychic reading over 100 years ago in 1901, in his 43 years he did over 14,000 documented psychic readings which are on file today at the Association for Research and Enlightenment Inc.

In June 1931 the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc, was formed as research body, they were interested in such things as holistic health care, they studied psychic mediums, psychic readers, spiritual healing, meditation, dreams, and the study of life and death.

Edgar Cayce gave insight into Judaism that were verified a decade after his death with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. In world affairs he saw the collapse of communism nearly fifty years before it happened.

Since 1959 the US navy has conducted psychic experiments.

Jan 31 1971 14th Apollo Mission – Edgar Mitchell was doing an experiment aboard the space shuttle he was testing mental telepathy with friends back home. It turned out to be not so successful but with his curiosity in this field he then started an institute of Noetic Science, in Sausalito California, to study psychic phenomenon.

Central Intelligence Agency used millions of dollars to do research on psychic development to use in defense and against the Soviet Union, using psychic readers as remote viewers.

There are psychic detectives all over the United States. One world-renowned psychic reader is Peter Hurkos, from LA. He is employed by the police department to solve unsolved crimes. To date he has worked on over 800 criminal cases.

Irene Hughes, psychic reader in Chicago has received commendations from the police for helping solve over 15 murder cases.

In 1971 psychic reader Bevy Yaegers in St. Louis, founded a psychic rescue squad. Where she works with a group of 18 other psychic readers. One of the psychic readers is Jim Muller a social worker by day and at night a psychic detective locating kidnapped victims. They formed their group for the purpose of locating missing persons. They proved themselves to be so effective they have qualified to become private detectives. Bevy Yaegers has created more than 25 groups of psychic readers, operating as psychic detectives around the country trained by herself.

Ronald Regan March 30 1981 Nancy Regan was concerned about her husbands safety and for seven years used an astrologer to plan her days.

In 1995 psychic works became de-classified and open to the public. Currently there is Sylvia Browne, a famous psychic reader who has published many books and appeared on many TV programs, and of course we have the well known psychic readers like John Edward and James Van Praugh who are both best-selling book authors, along with their own popular TV shows. All throughout history Psychic’s have araised. In each day we never know who or what we may come in contact with.

KARMIC SOULMATES, COMPANION SOULMATES, AND SOULMATE CUSP

Filed under :Divining Energy, Karma, Reincarnation, Soulmate

Karmic Soulmates are those who have shared at least one previous incarnation together that ended on a sour note. They meet up with each other again in a subsequent lifetime in order to complete any past lessons/rectify any residual karma, which then affords them the opportunity to attain closure and move on. Unfortunately, they usually end up accruing more adverse karma in the process. It’s possible for Karmic Soulmates to progress to the next level of the union, instead of separating, if both parties desire this and apply mutual effort.

However, usually at least one partner deviates from this path over time because to conquer all of these goals in a singular lifetime and then to still have sufficient love/desire to be with the alternate partner proves too daunting; usually resulting in indecision, stagnation, and inability to commit. This is why, more often than not, Karmic Soulmate unions have several ruptures either before the relationship ever truly gets off the ground or before the permanent severing of ties. Some Karmic Soulmates do marry or remain together for a long amount of time in an effort to achieve certain lessons, but the union eventually becomes unhappy and/or “problematic” either way.

Oftentimes, too – despite any past karma or lessons being conquered – each party invariably goes their separate way in order to be free to encounter their already existent Companion Soulmate who awaits him or her. This is because, again, more often than not the main intent between Karmic Soulmates is not to be a couple again in the first place but, rather, to resolve old issues if possible, attain closure, and then move on. One, if not all, of the variables below usually affect a Karmic Soulmate union:

    *Psychical or Geographical Ruptures/Distancing
    *Third Party Interference
*Indecision and Inability of One Partner to Make a Firm Commitment
    *The Timing is Amiss

Companion Soulmates, on the other hand, are those we pre choose to share a profound and enduring love with; to teach to, learn from, grow with, and be partners for a lengthy duration – even a lifetime. This type of relationship is very comfortable, respectful, honest, affectionate, loving, secure, committed, and all that good stuff. Although every relationship has its ups and downs, Companion Soulmate relationships are centered on mutual love and respect even during times of hardship and conflict.

In almost all instances both parties will take the necessary action required in order to be together in a timely manner. Additionally, not all Companion Soulmate unions begin with an intense emotional attraction or strong physical passion at all. In fact, many true Companion Soulmates are founded more on friendship than emotional highs and fleeting moments of passion.

Soulmate Cusp is the scenario that arises when the couple shares different elements of both Karmic Soulmates and Companion Soulmates. The term “Soulmate Cusp” itself indicates that the final conclusion of the relationship could go either way but usually leans more toward Companion Soulmates (contingent upon various factors). An example of this would be: some residual karma from a previous incarnation that needs to be rectified but both partners pre choosing to be together in a lifelong union after this is accomplished. Still, due to the blessing of free will, a Soulmate Cusp status does not ensure that the end result will be marital unity.

On the surface, any of these relationship types can seem so similar initially that a person may confuse them; believing that a Karmic Soulmate is their Companion Soulmate or that a Passionmate is their Companion Soulmate. This usually happens because – whether the relationship be Karmic, Companion, or Passion based – in the beginning of any type of relationship one might experience any of the following: an intense emotional attraction, strong physical passion, the sensation of déjà vu or an empathic/telepathic connection, pervasive thoughts to the effect of, “I KNOW I am supposed to be with this person. I can just FEEL it. This is THE partner for me,” etc. If you are wrong and believe that one is the other then you could set yourself up for a lot of heartache.

The bottom line is that Companion Soulmates are not obsessive with nor abusive toward each other. If you “just can’t live” without your partner; obsessively dwell on him/her; fight frequently; feel persistently angry, rejected, neglected, lonely, frustrated, and/or disappointed; are betrayed or cheated on; your partner refuses to commit; there are prolonged episodes of separation or geographical distancing, ad nauseam – it’s very unlikely that person is your true Companion Soulmate no matter how “connected to” to or “in love” you may be with him or her. You can refer to such a partner as your Companion Soulmate until you are blue in the face but this will not negate the fact that said individual is not healthy for you and the potential of the union either flourishing and/or enduring is relatively nil.

Intriguingly enough, some clients write to me and express things to the effect of, “This person lies to me, cheats on me, pushes me away, hurts me, won’t commit, et al but I just know he/she is my soulmate!” Yikes. If a person mistreats you and is emphatic that he/she does not want to be with you then that individual is not your Companion Soulmate. Sorry. All the wishing in the world won’t alter this because Companion Soulmates have a mutual desire to be together and treat each other with respect.

Finally, a person does not have to be spiritually defined a soulmate in order for you to experience either a miserable or a loving relationship with him/her no matter how long it lasts. Even soulmates have to have a “first time” here on Mother Earth. As such, some of us certainly do meet entirely new individuals during our present lifetime who are not metaphysically regarded soulmates but who can become so over time. Likewise, there can certainly be exceptions in any kind of relationship – even Companion Soulmate relationships – so it’s always best to use as unbiased an approach as possible when attempting to ascertain precisely “what” your partner may be. Our emotional wants and needs can tend to cloud our judgment and intuition at times so this is easier to accomplish if you take a break from your partner for a little while and undergo honest personal, spiritual, and psychical examination.

    SOULMATES AND TWIN FLAMES

Filed under :Karma, Mardi Gras Psychics, Soulmate, unknown author

Exploring Karmic, Companion, Cusp, and Limbotic Soulmates as well as Twin Flames

Clients almost always insist that their loved one is a soulmate, yet, there are different classifications of soulmates; each one having some unique spiritual dynamics, relational patterns, and most likely outcome. Therefore, I would like to clarify the concept of a soulmate so that if you do believe that a partner, ex partner, or potential partner-to-be is “a” soulmate you will be better able to comprehend the type of variables that more than likely have been/will be influencing your human relationship.

Please remember, however, that – despite any spiritual dynamics affecting a union – our own free will and that of our loved one ultimately dictates who we will be with, when, why, and for how long. Because of this, this article is intended only to be used as a basic guideline to help you glean insight into the “hidden” aspects of your partnership and potential future together. Nothing written below is etched in stone and should not be interpreted as an absolute.

There are differing philosophies pertaining to soulmates. Each psychic consultant or metaphysician may have his or her own. The information provided below is derived from over twenty-five years of research and interacting with Spirit, spirit guides, angels, deceased loved ones, and clients. I have been taught that, in reality, we are all soulmates because we are all connected on the most profound level; we are derived from the same universal life force and will return to the same universal life force once our physical shell meets its demise.

Therefore, for all intent and purposes, the terminology “soulmate” is a humanistic one. Whenever we encounter someone who elicits intense emotions and/or a strong physical passion within us we often want to believe that some “greater plan” or “destiny” brought us together for a special purpose; thereby creating a spiritual bond with our partner or desired partner. We may then use the term of endearment “soulmate” to define him or her.

Unfortunately, however, it occurs often enough that those persons who do elicit intense emotions and/or a strong passion within us are nothing more than passion-mates (partners we are drawn toward based primarily on ego wants and needs). Although many clients protest, “No, this is not just an emotional attachment or physical lust. There is a deep, spiritual connection between us,” I’ve yet to encounter anyone who has expressed, “Why, I am not attracted to this person in the least and I want nothing from him/her! Yet, I just know we are soulmates!” More succinctly, this ego factor can have tremendous influence on whether or not we believe a spiritual connection exists with our romantic partner or partner-to-be.

By the same token, it is true that there are spirits whom we pre choose (whilst on the spirit realm) to interact with during any given incarnation for various reasons. Not necessarily to have a long term romantic union with, as soulmates can be family members and dear friends as well. Whereas, other persons we may encounter figuratively for the first time here on Mother Earth. The persons we choose beforehand to share experiences with are spiritually labeled soulmates.

There is a common misconception that we can only have one true soulmate and that this is the person we will marry and live happily ever after with. Quite the contrary – as I mention above – a dear friend, close family member, lover, et al can all be construed soulmates and not all of these such relationships will be blissful or lifelong. Additionally, the universe is wise enough to almost always send us more than one option to choose from during the course of each lifetime so that we can exercise our free will once here and because being with the same soulmate indefinitely throughout our spiritual evolution could hinder our growth.

To simplify matters, there are at least three more “common” classifications of soulmates. There are also Limbotic Soulmates (those spirits who pre choose to be Companion Soulmates but usually end up meeting at least one lifetime too soon; resulting in a limbotic state where it is either really challenging to be a couple or they cannot be a couple) and Twin Souls (when a singular spirit divides into two halves and then each half encounters/becomes infatuated with the other half on the mundane realm; the epitome of self-love, lol, but usually quite a disaster!) but either of these are not too common – contrary to popular belief – that I do not include them below:

Relationships-Divining the Energy Bond

Filed under :Divining Energy, Mardi Gras Psychics

By relationships, in general, we mean persons in our social space with whom we have interactions that are frequent or that somehow will continue despite of not being frequent (due to physical distance, by example). During all our life, our energy interacts with the energy of others. As the shared interaction imply an emotional or affective bond to varying degrees of intensity, positive, neutral and negative, divining our relationship situations is helped by sensing the nature and intensity of the energy present in the shared bond. There appears your own side of the bond and the one of other or others.

Can the strength of an energy bond tell if a relationship is likely to last a long time, even a life time?

It depends on the handling of the shared energy bond by each person in the relationship and the purpose of the relationship projected into the future. The strength of an energy bond does not determine by itself the lasting of a relationship nor the lasting of the relationship by itself determines the energy bond strength. Divining things like the amounts, type of energy the persons put into their relationship bond and the handling of the bond by both can tell about its lasting. One important aspect of the handling is the way the rupture situations are likely to be solved when they occur in the shared life path. By this reason, some relationships may have finished long ago, but have a strong enough intensity towards reconciliation when rupture situations occur by at least one of the partners. Divining over this aspect, the potential energy towards reconciliation, is likely to tell about how long the relationship will last and if you are dealing with your soul mate since the energy bond between soul mates ranks very high in intensity towards reconciliation under break up situations.
